Fun and Fellowship

After-Worship Potlucks and Other Meals.

We like to eat!   Westminster doesn't have a commercial kitchen, but we do have a lot of good cooks.   At least six times a year, we have a potluck meal after worship.  Usually there's a theme, like "Comfort Food" or "Ethnic Favorites".    On the Thursday before Easter, Maundy Thursday, when Jesus ate his last meal with his disciples, we have a meal as part of our worship service.  Occasionally, we organize a night out at a restaurant.   Our Wednesday evening Living Bread worship includes a simple meal, which those who attend take turns preparing for the group.

Prayer Journals and Crafting

Occasionally, as there is interest, we offer one-day classes advertised to the community on different arts and crafts.  Recent classes led those who came in painting birch trees, making beaded bracelets, and starting prayer journals.    Those interested in continuing to work on prayer journals or other arts and crafts gather on Tuesdays, one group from 1 to 4 and another from 6 - 7, to work on their projects.  Come and experiment with us!

Games and Movies

On a monthly basis, we have either a game night or a movie night.   Come and relax over a board or card game.   Watch a movie with friends, sometimes at a theater and other times at the church.   In the summer, there might be games on the lawn.

Outdoor Fun

We are blessed with a wonderful outdoor space, and often in the summer we have at least one church activity outside of the building!  It might be a worship service, a neighborhood picnic, a Blessing of the Animals service, or a new surprise!
